Pre-Kindergarten - Designed for 3-4 year old students, our youngest members will meet for 2 1/2 hours each Monday and Wednesday morning. We will explore and will be creative through play, reading, learning, and crafts! Our goal in preschool is not necessarily to get students ahead of their peers with reading and math. In the classical model of education, the goal is to create 'wonder' at God's creation and to entice/invite students to learn. Parents with Pre-K - 3rd graders are the PRIMARY educators in reading and math since students advance in these skills at different ages.
Kindergarten - Our five year old students will attend Kindergarten all day on Mondays and Wednesdays. We will have just one or two teachers for this class and students will be introduced to science, history, math, reading and MORE!
1st Grade and 2nd Grades - Just as with Kindergarten, we strive to have one or two teachers work with these grades. Students will be exposed to history, science, math and will pursue writing skills, art skills, music and MORE! Parents will continue to work with children at home in their subjects. In 2nd grade, we do begin formal instruction in writing so that students are better prepared for the 3rd grade grammar/writing class.
3rd-8th Grades - Students will have multiple instructors and will have classes in Latin, Grammar/Writing, History, Science, and Math. 3rd-5th graders will also have art, music and physical education components. Our literature is based on the historical time period that students are studying and allow for rich discussions and many hands-on projects.
